Mark Grossfield
Mark Grossfield holds a First-Class Honors (BA Hons) in International Business Studies, with international exposure through working in the UK, GCC & studying in Japan. A Senior Executive with 14+ years cross-industry experience, including tourism, real-estate, telecom, mega projects and events. Mark started his career at Vodafone, the global telecoms giant working as a Partnerships and Events Executive, and continued to pursue a career path in the telecommunication sector with the JT Group in the Channel Islands and Sicuro Group based out of Dubai. Having spent more than 3 years in this industry, Mark joined Great Britain’s National Tourism Board, Visit Britain; promoting inbound tourism across the AMPEA region. His role including forging key partnerships across terrorities such as the GCC, India and Australasia, whilst integrating and driving tourism agenda among public diplomacy partners (Department of International Trade, British Council, British Embassy and UK Visa and Immigration). After more than 5 years, Mark was headhunted for Expo 2020 Dubai, as the Senior Destination Marketing Manager, leading on marketing across UK & Europe, South Asia and Africa. A key part of his mandate was to develop go-to-market commercial strategies & promotional campaigns to drive visitation and ticket sales. A proud moment in his professional career, having been part of the 1st Expo in the region, building nation legacy and delivering a mega-event in what was a post-pandemic period. After this, Mark was headhunted for a role in Saudi Arabia as the Destination Marketing Director at King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), a mixed-use development in the heart of Riyadh. Another key milestone in his career, having the opportunity to contribute to the goals of Vision2030, working for a Public Investment Fund (PIF) strategic project. During his one and half years at KAFD, Mark was promoted to the Vice President of Marketing, responsible for leading the development and execution of the overall marketing strategy, whilst contributing to the development of the overall business plan, ensuring alignment and synergy between marketing and broader organizational goals. As of today, Mark manages a team of more than 12 individuals and 5 external agencies across Creative, Brand, Marketing, Production & Digital & Social. Mark has pursued several training and development programs throughout his career, including certification from Instead Executive Education on Leading Digital Marketing Strategy, as well as London Business School, Developing Strategy for Value Creation.
